About

Hi, I'm Harry.

I'm a senior at Northwestern, and I've spent the past few years navigating two of the most competitive processes a student faces — college admissions and tech & quant recruiting. Now I help students through both.

Harry Guan is a senior at Northwestern University pursuing a dual degree with a triple major in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Music. He has interned at LinkedIn as a machine learning engineer and at IMC Trading as a quantitative trader, and is an incoming machine learning engineer intern at Tesla.

Through his own recruiting cycles, he has earned offers from Five Rings, Susquehanna (SIG), Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Palantir, Coinbase, PayPal, and HubSpot, among others — experience he now uses to coach college students through software engineering and quantitative finance recruiting.

His consulting practice began with writing. Throughout high school, he was engaged in a wide variety of writing, from winning state-level competitions in legislative essays to creative writing. Since his own application season, he has worked rigorously with many applicants on brainstorming, drafting, and finalizing their essays with distinctive elements — with clients admitted to Harvard, Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Penn, Northwestern, and more.

Where should you start?

If you're applying to college, start with College Admissions to see how I work and what past clients have achieved. If you're a college student aiming for software engineering or quant roles, head to Recruiting. Either way, the first 30 minutes are on me.
